I leave in Malaysia & thinking of buying a brand new scooby. I could buy a brand new scooby sti 7 prodrive "bugeye"(grey import from Japan with rally roof) or a second hand sti8 for about the same price. Almost all the magazine says Sti 8 is better overall but i want to hear from someone who has driven both cars (non journo opinion) which one is better in terms of handling power delivery & etc?

The only trouble is, replies from us in the UK, may not be valid

We have different spec cars here in the UK. Our STi8UK does not have Twin scroll turbo or DCCD as the STi8JDM does.
Sti8Uk uses mostly the same engine parts as Sti7UK where as the STi8JDM has far more engine differences.

The Prodrive STi7 with roof vent maybe a Type 'C' and therefore better than a STD STi8JDM (but may only be a STi7JDM with some cosmetic enhancements)
