There are a *lot* of rumours around about a special edition with god only knows what goodies on it, but nothing that seems to be referencable.

Personally, if you think you're willing to pay a premium to get extras (speculation: twin scroll, dccd-a) then I'd hold onto your car for the moment, and keep badgering your dealer and other dealers for info!

Also, bear in mind that if you do buy one it's bound to be majorly facelifted in 2005 sending the value of your car plummeting

Cheers,
Nick.

No inside knowledge

But with Petter only 1 point behind in the WRC and only Rally GB remaining

Surley if he does do it there will be a special!!

750 ish MY04Sti's with DCCD for UK market(Jan/Feb) but look at an importers LITCHFIELDS and spec of the MY04EU is there and the UK won't be much different unless as rumour has it, they are to be made into Special Editions

IMHO

So the 750 STI's have been imported - so surely that means someones bought the lot...there cant be orders from individuals for that many... so are you implying that someone like IM has them.. for someone like Prodrive to modify?????

I'll wait then

Subaru sited that the next update (revamp) to the impreza would be 2007.
Special models really only come about when the market is in a lul. With the 03WRX selling well who know's if there is going to be a special, though a RB2 would be nice.

Yeh... and when i bought my bug-eye they had no intentions of making any revamps for "several years" as well.. your having a laugh right?

Jza,
Don't read toooooo much into my statement about the 750 ish as I beleive ALL batches that come into the UK are 'EU' but then have to be UK'd by IM trackers, alarms, underseal etc.

IIRC

... but you said they had DCCD which isnt UK spec - which suggests they may do a UK Spec C ????

Have a look on Litchfields website, there are a few new colour schemes for the STi and also the option of a DCCD for a Euro STi.

Depending on how well Burnsy does next year, 2005 should prove interesting for new models.

Jza,

Sorry if i mislead you but I did say "750 ish MY04Sti's with DCCD for UK market(Jan/Feb) but look at an importers 'LITCHFIELDS' and spec of the MY04EU is there and the UK won't be much different"
I was refering to their MY04StiEU not their type 'C'

Adding DCCD-A to the Sti will certainly add to it's handling but won't fix the biggest killer of performance weight I personaly would have much prefered a Type 'C'UK

Peter will win the GB rally a P2 would be more in order than a RB2 IMHO
