Can anybody help me please.
I am looking to import an impreza from japan and have found out most details. All I need to know is what tax you have to pay at this end. is there vat, import tax.
Any help will be much appriciated.

just done it..upay 10% tax and also vat.if ur in the trade u can claim it back.

is the vat @ 17.5%

You'll pay VAT @ 17.5% on everything up to the point of the car landing in the UK - so that includes the cost of shipping/insurance!!
