Flatspot.

Is it normal to hit a flatspot between 3rd & 4th gear?my car is a MY96 uk and when iwas overtaking it sort of died so i had to change gear rather sharpish!

Rev limiter ?
very easy to hit while overtaking , thats why its there!

Could have been the overboost cut. Do you have a boost gauge fitted? This can help diagnose this problem.

Definetly had plenty of fuel(Visit petrol station religously every day, well it feels like it)and going downhill! I havent got a boost guage, would you advise it? What benefits ?
