Burnsy at Silverstone - in a proper car!
So did anyone see Richard Burns bin his Porsche Supercup 911?
Doesn't it just go to show that any old peddler can be a hero with four wheel drive, but give him a PROPER car and he just can't cut it?

I was there and I saw what happened!!!!
poor burnsie goin along minding his own when porker in front spins and catches the front edge of his porker sending him into a side ways roll at quite high speed! Car landed back on its wheels (minus drivers door) and he lept out and waved to the croud...
I am glad I took a photo on the parade lap as he didnt make it back round to where I was b4 his crash! didnt even finish one lap!
I had never been to an F1 race before - what can I say - what a noise those cars make... brilliant.

...assuming he got out of the car park! He's got a GT3? He's just gone up in my estimations infinitely!
My original post was with tongue firmly in cheek, though no-one seems to be rising to the bait - can I take this as admission that a Scooby is just a little boy's toy next to a 911 ?

Honestly now - I rate Burnsy at somewhere near Deity level, and streets ahead of Colin McBash...
Cheers,
Mike
P.S. I'm just glad he wasn't injured 'cos that's the last thing he needs in his Championship season...

He may have taken his RB5 to get out of the mud
Sideways no doubt !
He bought the GT3 recently and Porche then said here have a go in this at Silverstone ( jammy so and so ).
Pity he did n't have a good go really but as usual no TV coverage of the F1 support.
I believe he's more into the big bikes than cars.
Cheers

There is no need to worry on that score as the 911 is still a hair-dressers car!
Those 911's were all over the place!!
(probably something to do with the inherant design flaw associated with the engine positioning)

Ok, but apart from its unfortunate yuppy image in the '80s and the fact the engine's the wrong side of the rear axle, it's not a bad effort for a bunch of amateurs...
And anyway, it's only the tarted up purple cabrios that are hair-dressers' cars. Actually they're hair-stylists' cars - Suzuki Vitaras are hair-dressers' cars.
And at least you can rely on a 911 getting you there, which is more than can be said for those red Fiats...
Consider the bait well and truly gobbled up!
