97 TO 95 RON

I've a MY97 with Prodrive Driver Pack: inside the fuel flap, there's a sticker that says super unleaded only. Do I need to have any tweaking work done for the engine to take 95RON safely?

There's a sticker like that on my unmodified MY00 too - but it seems contrary to the experience of many owners who use 95 RON with no problem. I believe that cars with the PPP can use 95 RON without damage, but that the full performance improvement isn't realised unless you use SUL.

The sticker on the filler cap is slightly misleading, premium unleaded is known as super in some countries so thats why it is on the cap. Although the Prodrive PP is better run on Super, it should still work on Normal, but will not feel as quick.

Currently running a 99my Uk PPP, complete with de-catted exhaust and HKS induction kit.
Have always run mine on a mixture of sul and ul, but on taking it to Graeme Goode for its 7500 service i have been running it on sul only.
After the service they test drove it, they said that it was overboosting a bit and to avoid any det problems to keep it on sul. I think it is probably the Induction kit that is causing this.

Have a read on the subject Broquet its on the board last two days,
I am biased because i supply it , but i have supplied a lot of owners recently some have posted feedback.
I ran a prodrive RB5 on 95 no apparent power loss.

Moray,
No monster, just an old UK pussycat. When at the Exmoor run I was filling up with the usual 95 Ron. And was told by one of the lads that I was putting the wrong fuel in. I told him, so good is the mapping this thing will run on paraffin.
283 bhp but that’s from PE rollers. And we all know that all Subaru’s start with an extra 25 bhp. If this is the case it makes the Prodrive cars look rather sad. Or is it only the phase 1 cars have the extra 25 bhp.
Hehehe
Here we go again.
All will be reviled
My guess is 265bhp.
