Unhappy

competition car insurance wanted £529 third party, with no actual track cover, 3000 miles a year, £900 valuation of the old 1.6 mk1 mr2, i pay £550 fully comp for my mk2 £5000 car?? i don't get it elephant who cover the mk2 quoted a very reasonable £300 but said if we find its ever touched a track we void the policy. ???? WHY??

RESULT

well after 4 hours and 25+ calls i have found sensible cover £260 AdrianFlux, don't care if the car goes on the track! Taked to many who gave great quotes, but all the same thing,..'if we find in the event of a claim, that the insured car has been on a track for any purpose, all cover will be void, even if totally unrelated to claim', called lots of places that said no prob, then came back and said change of policy..recent thing due to increase in people doing trackdays. be careful they all want any reason not to pay out!

I'll second Adrian Flux - my trackday pug 205 is insured with them - £341 with all mods taken into account and they only charge and extra £42 to take on track days - well below the £140 Comp Car Insurance wanted
