Did anyone else see the new Lotus Elige unvailed at Brands on Sunday? Its a motorsport version of the Elise, with 190bhp, 0-60 4.7, 0-100 12.3. £31,000. I bet these times will not be reflected in the real world or at Santa Pod I eat Lotus for breakfast You know who you are Oh and it looks like someone cut the back off of it.

I dunno - I was on the verge of chopping my Esprit for an elise (whilst waiting for the M250, and then this comes along. Faster, more vicious looking, and much more select..

It doesnt exactly speak volumes for my dealer that I knew absolutely nothing about it till I read it on pistonheads on Monday.....dont they want to sell people cars or something?

Anyway.....I reckon it will be far quicker than any Scoob ever made, and obviously much faster than Mr Leigh

so...BRING IT ON!!!!!!

Maybe AutoExpress could pit this against the Honda Accord Type R, then we'd know what the fastest car on the road really is!

0-100 in 12s YAWN! I thougt you'd want something faster than that Night! If it was my money I'd spend it on an R500 and some proper driving tuition so that I could survive the weekends....!

I have yet to see a Lotus do a decent time at Santa Pod, and in Leicester they scuttle around like little bugs trying to avoid my mighty Subaru Yeeeeehaaaa
