Front
Car just over a year old and I’ve already had the complete front end re sprayed last August/Sept time due to stone chips, etc. Car is fast getting to the point of needing to be sprayed again.
Question is does anyone know where we can get complete colour coordinated front end covers made up that we can use when we are out for fast road driving, which incidentally, we do a lot of on some terrific roads. Down side is they carry a lot of grit from the winter and these AWD cars are real rock chuckers. Is this a reflection on tyres I wonder; with the typical arrow tyre tread we all use, Good Year & Toyos, etc.

Have you thought about the clear stick on protecting film (I think the P1'S have it fitted on the front lip spoiler)
A friend at work has it on his silver Vauxhall VX220 & you can only see it if you get up real close.
hope this helps, Mike.
p.s. Armourfend is supposed to be a good make.

Thanks for the thought, but we have looked at the Armourfend route and did not like the look of it on the car to be honest; in saying that it might be the way we have to go.
I say "we" as there are several of us with the same problem.

Don't like the look of it !
I think Porsche now fit it as standard and I believe TVR recommend it to be fitted from new.
I think the resale value of a car would be higher having armourfend fitted than one that has been repeatably resprayed.
I sometimes struggle to understand why people have so many problems with stone ships. All 4 of the cars I have had have had one or two but nothing major. Having said that I don't motorway drive regularly, but what i tend to do is keep good distance from the car in front, so limiting the chance of stone chips.
I don't tend to get impatient about the need to go fast constantly because you just can't on a daily basis anyway. Having this frame of mind will stop you driving too close and reserve the go fast for when you can. I.e on a damm good country road at the weekend
Anyway thats my two pence worth
