What are potential problems with STI7's?
Just been told by a friend who has some problems with his STI7, car judders in 3rd about 4-5k rpm and also in 6th at 3k rpm there seems to be no more power, just as if the engine went dead?

What could this be or did anybody had a similar problem with his STI7?

In a standard STI7, you will have very little power in 6th gear at 3K rpm.

If you drive an STI7 with the Prodrive performance pack, then its a different matter all together.

Even in standard form, if the STI7 is driven and using all those 6 gears properly you should have no issues with power or staying in power bands.

The only thing I would say is that the sti(in standard form) sort of runs out of puff around 6.5K. The PPP frees the car up through the whole rev range right up to 7K plus.
