After this Sundays event at Elvington, and a bit of banter, with the help of Peccy and the 200Plus club, they are trying to organise a "Scooby Shootout" to be held at Elvington at the end of June or early July.
Give that it only cost £30 for unlimited runs on Sunday, it is pretty cheap, for 1/4 mile drag races and top speed runs over 1.2 miles.
Find out what your car really can do, legally!!!, see if it is as quick as you think it is?
Sign up, we need at least 50 cars to avoid it being a RWYB thing for anyone else.

Come on, you know you want to

Sorry Elvington is just outside York.
The event consists of a a 1/4mile drag race, with the left hand lane also having the choice of continuing on for a top speed run. The top speed is measured at 1.2 miles.
In the pouring rain yesterday i did 12.8 1/4 and 144 top speed
. Wipers could not cope with the rain
So come on folks.

Crikey come on, you all afraid of finding out your car aint that quick after all
.
Seriously, we need people for this event to be a goer, you dont have to hammer the car, just have a go, and see what you and your car can do, fact, not fiction, no pub talk, FACT
I was very cautious of doing these events, but have now done 2, and i am hooked, so come on sign up for a great day

This sounds good to me and i might be able to talk my neighbour in to it also. I have a lightly modded my94 wrx and he has a uk turbo. I have allways wondered what top end i could get with my car but never had the guts to go that speed on the open road (license to important!). I'll chat to him this weekend about it.

SAM stop it please, i dont need your encouragement either
When it dies, it dies, it will be reborn when i can afford it
, if that means buying a shed to runa round in until then, then so be it
<mental note>
Stop listening to SAM saying i need a new PAR synchro gearset
<mental not over, not necessarily regsitered though

For crikeys sake, your looking at an 1 and half hours from Birmingham, come on, make the effort
.
Us northerners have to go darn sarf for a lot of things, surely you can repay the gesture, for what will be hopefully a cracking event.

I've only got 215 miles on the clock and staying below 4000 revs, so it's a bit too soon for me and the PPP doesn't get fitted until next week, may come along to watch though.
