help with bonnet
how easy is it to swap 95 bonnet with later version, what is involved intercooler wise does this also have to be swapped or is there a way round it?? any suggestions would be greatly apprieciated thanks in advance
Hi Griff, its an easy job to change over to the later style front. The parts needed are:-
Bonnet (with new scoop and vents)
Headlights
Grille
I have done the conversion to my my95 wrx,and am really pleased with the way it now looks. I didnt change the intercooler at the time, and to be honest,it aint nessesary. I have now changed mine for the later cooler, but that was due to other engine mods. It depends on your budget. You will find most of the bits you need for the job in the for sale section.
P.S. Ihave some headlights for sale (my97) if you are in need?

Here is a pic of mine to give you the finished article

Yeah its not hard mate - ive got my bonnet on order.
The only thing is when you swap, the bonnets are expensive!
Steel is £270 unpainted new
Ally is £450 unpainted new
Carbon fibre £600 upwards (unless you have any luck with getting one in the US).
It does make the car look better and its always best as wible said to get the parts off here or even try a breakers
Wible, your pic needs updating now - later bumper
