winning noise over 4000 revs after driving hard could this be the turbo any help most greatfull love the car

 

If it was the turbo then you would get the noise if you went hard or not, your boost is at its most around 4k rpm but if your loosing alot of power then id take the car to a speciallist.

Points to note!
You may be hearing the turbo whistle up, on the other hand you shouldnt hear any sort of whine.... when was the car last serviced? (it could be something else).

I sometimes get this but by the time I remember again, its not there

It sounds like a pulley driven whine, so guessing at a "warm" alternator or simillar?

Its happened loads of times & has not (yet) led to anything braking down - 56K miles...

 

thanks that sounds about right because car is running great should just stop listening and drive and smile smile smile god these cars are good
