Is the STI 3 Type RA V-limited a proper RA or is it just an sti 3 with the roof mounted air scoop. Reason I ask is the RA is supposed to have the close ratio gear box but the beast in question appears to have the longer gearing of a normal sti. The STI 3 Type RA V-limited doesn't seem to be mentioned in the FAQ so what is its spec....

Also does anyone know what the spec of a true RA is...ratio's etc and please tell me its available in more than white.

I have an Sti4 RA V-Limited - Saloon

The gearing is truly loony - about 3,800 rpm at 70 mph. Aluminium bonnet and boot, little soundproofing (it is quite noisy). It's Blue (not sure which one).

How do you know it's an Sti3 ? Mine is definitely a '4' but says 'v3' on the seat embroidery - either the seats got swapped before I got it or it comes that way.

According to the FAQ, a WRX STi Version III V-Limited has the following code GC8D4ED....

I've noticed in the FAQ that is says "Model Numbers beginning GC are 4 door saloons" so why is the model number for a WRX Type R STi Version GC8D2DD I thought all type R's were 2 door??

Anyone know different

I think the car you are talking about is the STI 3 V-limited saloon, with standard roof vent, normal gearing, 555 logo on the front seats etc. As far as I know there was no RA limited edition in the version 3.
