Is there a scheme whereby members of the sidc get a significant insurance discount.

Sorry if this has been covered before.

If not, why doesn't an official approach a reputable company. Given there are over 2000 members of this board alone, surely there must be a significant discount available by tapping into a group of that size.

Its just that now I am sorting out my insurance, it looks like it might be going up and if I cant afford it then the car may have to go.

Dont even want to consider that prospect.

 

Could I also add to this thread the question of is anybody currently recieving an insurance discount as a result of completing their Advanced Driving Test? I seem to remember you could get upto 10% many years ago but I may be wrong.
