Hi all,
was up at 3 sisters raceway on saturday happily enjoying the racing. Mk2 escorts,Astras,Novas etc....
I dont know if any one has ever seen this car before and i wish i had a camera. It didnt compete on the day, it just sat in the pit area.
The car : a white ford focus - plain as hell except for the mad vent in the bonnet and a few stickers.
The engine : Subaru impreza engine mounted really far back and low down looking pretty standard. It also had all Subaru running gear and wheels!!!!!!
Couldnt belive it, all the hassle to create a car that is in effect a scooby. But as my mates said "it's different" i guess they have a point. But i could see alot of money would have been wasted on this project, when the same amount of cash could have been spent on a really nice scoob. But what he has is definatly unique!
oh yeah and it had the top part of a scooby dash (late style p1 etc)
and the steering wheel plastic cowl and indicator stalks...
mad eh....!!!!

lol, it was mad as cheese!!! i cant understand why this guy went to all the effort to create a car which would i guess drive similar to an impreza, since it was made mainly of impreza parts, when he could have just spent it all on a decent scooby. (a car with far better looks)
Bob you should have looked further, it even had the under-bonnet fuse holder from the scooby!!! he had the top half of the dash but the rest of the interiour was stripped out. just seats n cage etc. but i cant understand the reason to throw away the focus dash...i think it's one of the best parts of a focus really. certainatly a better idea than using half a scooby dash!!!
i wonder what posesed him to do such a thing.
all in all a good day though, hard luck to the mk2 escort that clipped the tyres and ended up on his roof!!!!
i loved the vauxhall 2ltr powered rear drive 306 that thing was insane.
Car of the day : the blue rear drive mk5 escort with again 2ltr vauxhall power.
sideways all day!!!!!
