Watched the Eurosport rally coverage last year - wow a whole 15 minutes (with adverts)!

But anyway, noticed that the Subaru's had spotlights built into their wing-mirrors and had them on even during the day.

The latest gallery pictures on the Subaru(UK) web site shows them quite well.

Any ideas what they were for?

Must be for when the car looses it's main lights when the car hit's water...

They are probably left on because the driver has no time to fiddle with switches!

My guess anyway!

 

I thought they were to warn the locals and wildlife who may be used to vehicles moving at a more sedate pace.
