Question

Folks,

After much deliberation last year I settled on a high level spoiler for my `94 WRX. I think it looks great on the car, but it doesn't come with a break light

With regard to the law, what are the guidelines on high level brakelights? Is my car now technically illegal? Or am I worrying about nothing?

I think its only required if it was fitted by the factory or made after a certain date.

Ian,

Thanks for the reply. I still have my OE low level rear spoiler complete with brake light. So maybe it should have one eh?

Haven't been stopped for it yet despite being followed by lots of Notts cops. Guess I'll ask my neighbour (nice cop who wants a Scooby) for advice on this.

Cheers,

Kevin

It appeared on the 96 Imprezas, but 95 and earlier UK cars have the spoiler blanked off.
