Question

I have seen loads of Scoobies around my area but none have been sporting the SIDC logo in the windows. I live in Horsham Silver STi 4... anyone nearby??

theres some even better pubs just south of handcross (same m23 exit as mentioned above) overlooking the village cricket field going towards cuckfield. We can park up and eat outside if its nice admiring the picturesque ye olde englishe village view and a car park full of scoobies

hell i'd eat my dinner off the car if its that nice !

Good idea Stu...i went to Brighton Uni and so West and East Sussex are okay for me....used to visit Billy Bridges' many times!!.....25mins and i can be in Brighton and have done 10 runs along the seafront and got a hot dog from the Pier

PS...ON A SERIOUS NOTE ...i was involved in a very nasty car crash at Handcross Hill in 1994....left me with a huge scar on my head and inside my lower lip and fractured my left arm in several places.....boy was i lucky!!!!!

I'm racking my brains to think of the name of the pub in the tiny village south of handcross. I'll check it out later this week.

best option is to probably meet at pease pottage services car park and progress down to the pub once everyone has arrived.

If the next two weekends are out, we'll have to make it in march sometime. Don't worry about the missus, mine will be coming as will 18 month old son, so please bring yours and they can waffle about whatever then

What was the first 'bolt-on' mod my scooby had. A dummy attached to the baby seat with string, as its impossible to turn round in the bucket seats and find where he threw it !

I'll check out the pubs later this week and post back. Think you guys might be right about the cricketers and victory, eaten a few times in one of them (that good i can't remember the name LOL) and it was really good !

Perhaps those that meet at richmond park would also like to come down ?

Will post more details later.

I'd be interested as well (although I only drive a Legacy GT-B), I see loads of scoobies every day driving to work, from Hailsham to Billingshurst.

The village is Southsomething I think and the Pubs are the cricketers and the victory

Paul

Changed - I agree it is Staplefield not south******

Wouldn't be the Victory Inn at Staplefield by any chance? I live a few miles down the road from there...

I'll check the name of the one i've eaten in before as that was excellent and tell everyone tomorrow.

Just need to sort out what time to meet at the services and maybe get some of the richmond boys over as well.

Right i finally got round to driving up the road and checking the pubs out.

pnebbs was right when he said the victory inn, i've eaten there before and it was most pleasant.

But if there are quite a few of us it might be a bit small, and parking has to be on the grass when its busy (not nice in the rain)so we could have a nice little b road drive down the pilgrims goose which has a nice large car park, good food and try that one ?

Can we finalise a date and also the numbers involved so we know what to expect.

I can do any weekend day in March except the 18th when i'm off to see Bob and get my possum fitted

How about the 5th March, we could still meet at the victory (good food and beer(, if there are too many we could either go doen the road or park on the grass. after all we have all got AWD)

Shall we start a new thread onder events
