hi all
Ive just moved to chrischurch dorset and need to find a decent scooby garage or mechanic asap as service now due .
The car is a uk spec 99 model
I dont care if its a dealer or just a mechanic who knows these cars Im more concerned that its done well any recomendations ????
Also whats best oil to use for engine and box?

Best oil is (IMHO) Castrol RS 10w 60, dont use 5w or even worse 0w. Motul is good too. I used to use Magnatec which is also fine for road use. A fully synthetic is better, but Subaru don't say its a must.

Your best man for the job, and he is just around the corner from you at Bournemouth Airport is Andy Vey of Triton Motor Services.
He works on any jap performance car but specialises in Scoobies and Evo's.
You wont find a more helpfull knowledgeable chap and even his prices are very reasonable.

Thats the people I meant! I think he uses Elf 5w40 from memory? So might be ok, but a 10W is better if you can supply your own.

Thanks for the response I spoke to chapplegate a few weeks ago they have given up scoobies and only doing porches now ! I will try this guy at bourmouth as i drive past airport at least once a week

I know it a little way to travel but I was speaking to Master Tech in a certain Hampshire dealers last time I was in, he said that he does homers all the time.
