Hi everyone

Another new kid on the block here.

I've looked on the SIDC events page and on Mark Otways page (as recommended) but I can't see any information on any meetings in Hampshire.

Can anyone out there let me know if there is anything planned for Hampshire. I've seen so many Scoobys since picking up my 95 WRX (silver) last week (no one has waved yet!) so there must be loads of you out there?

Was it you joining the E bound M27 from J11 on Tuesday 8:00 AM ish. I was also E bound in Green UK 5 door, but too far away to wave - sorry.
(if it wasn't you, whoever it was - same applies)

A local meet would be a good idea - see the events section for a suggestion about the Winter rally.

Alternative would be a trackday at Goodwood perhaps - has any Hampshire member looked at this?

I'm in Hampshire too (out into the country NE of Southampton). Let me know if any meets are planned and I'll do my best to get along as I'm not spending all my time in the City now. Perhaps this thread should move to the Events section though.

Oh, and I always wave!

 

There have already been 2 North Hampshire meets that have been quite well attended. The last was just over a month ago i think (its all a bit blurry !!)

Rannoch organised the last 2... and i guess it will be time for another when we have all got over Santa Pod and Donnington....

But if you want to organise something i'm sure i'll be up for it... there are plenty of cars in the Hants area.

Now that the days are getting longer and it was such nice weather last weekend - maybe we could do a day time one so that we don't need to use up so much electricity.

The last two have been just outside of Fleet, attracting cars from as far away as Nottingham and Essex!

Any daytime venue suggestions?

I'll be kicking around the winter rally in Bournemouth, I don't know the format of the event so can't really suggest a time or place but if someone does, I'll try to be there. I think Dave Marsh is keen too.

 

Used to run days at Goodwood several years ago, until they priced themselves out of the market, what about arranging a meet at the festival of speed or similar ?
