Question

Hi Guys (and Gals)

Finally got shot of the miserable GTI Golf and found the right scooby... well happy with my V5 limited.

I'm way over at Margate in Kent, anyone else round these parts got a scooby? There's loads of Metro's and Skoda's but the area's not exactly crawling with Scoobs!

What's coming up in the way of track days? Where do they get advertised/listed?

Russ

Sorry, I'm not very near Margate but I know what you mean - there weren't that many Scoobs near me either (I'm near Hastings) when I first got mine although there's more about now. I reckon you should enjoy it as you'll get the entire quota of stares which other people would get if they had an Impreza...

As for track days, I think here is the best place to hear about them although you can contact any circuits near you to find out what they've got booked.

Anyway, welcome aboard

Fairly sure it's an age thing....

Hastings and Margate... all very old. What i love is the disapproving looks you get just driving the thing past the old gits round here! Even when you're driving the same speed as everyone else. Something to do with the noise from a Super Dragger exhaust I reckon!

Ha! Know what you're saying.

I've just had the full ScoobySport exhaust put on mine - downpipe, centre section and backbox. It is rather, erm, loud and I love driving through Bexhill (oldville for those who don't know) and watching every single pensioner turn and look disapprovingly.

I used to live in Tenterden, now reside in Bicester. All the family still in Kent though.

Should get a Kent get together as I still Travel down there to see the folks etc.

I know MarkO (lives in Maidstone) is up for it.

The cheques on its way to sidc! Seems a very well organised active club... track days were an essential for getting the car in the first place!

Can we organise a Birchington-on-sea/bexhill cruise do you think?

Sounds like a goer...

Maybe somewhere in between to keep the miles down a bit.

There are several Imprezas arround the Sandwich area. Pfieser staff I believe.

Also one regularly cruises past my loaned 22B in Faversham, I have taken the number plate and it is not one sold by Barretts!

Hope he is just an enthusiast!

As long as they bring a shrubbery! (A nice one....)
Who organises these things? I hear people with green cars tend to be better organisers (my one's blue)

As Ipro says, there's a few of us down in Kent (at least 10 that I know of!). I'm south of Maidstone, but know of a few others around the M20 J8 area. They're all listed on the
