Well I've finally done it, bought my first Scooby-Doo. I actually bought it new in March but have only just come across this great website recently. It's the MY02 GX model, dealer said it replaced the old sport model. I obviously wanted to go for the WRX model but due to a tight budget and 'el bambino' on the way shortly, no can do! I'm thrilled to bit's with it and just can not fault it. I could go on forever explaining how good this is and how good that is, but it's already been mentioned going off previous topics that have been posted. I've already got plans for a few mods, uprated exhaust, WRX 17" alloys, etc. Any advice from fellow sport/GX owners will be appreciated. Speak to ya again.

Hi,

I guess the price of that GX back in March wasn't too much less than the current price for an MY02 WRX...

At one time we had both a Sport and a Turbo simultaneously and the Sport was surprisingly good. It was a wagon and I liked that concept enough to get a WRX wagon this time around...

Did you buy from a dealer in Cheshire??

Cheers,
Gareth

Cool

Blimey, I only nipped out to lunch for an hour and already "you've got mail". Thanks for the replies.

Petrol-Head - Great idea about a new bbs for us non-turbos. Going off your comment, is the clutch a bit dodgey on the Impreza.

Scooby Towers - No, I should have said mines a 4 door dark blue mica and from the Macclesfield area, a la "cat 'n' fiddle" (top road).

Gareth - Too right about that price mate, never mind. Yes I did get the car from a dealer in Cheshire. Monksheath Motors, and really helpful they were too, except not for mentioning a new model is due to come out in February '03. I guess that's car sales for you though, still I would have probably bought the good old bugeye.

As you've owned up to buying from Monks Heath, I'll tip you off that there's a lot of cr@p said on here about them - I'd recommend you take them at face-value and make your own mind up. At the end of the day, dealers are dealers are dealers...

Btw, I'm also in Macclesfield area so if you see me driving around a flash or wave would be cool...

Thanks for the advice Gareth, let's just say I'll keep an open mind with them. Might not come as a surprise anyway because the sales guy who sold us the car has recently left. Did you get your WRX from them?

P.S.

I'll keep my Queens wave at the ready!!!
