Recently bought a P1....i have had the car two weeks and to my horror it blew it.....number 2 piston...took it to subaru thinking this will be ok cause the car had a 3 year extended warranty with it...so after about a week i get a call saying the car wont be covered by warranty as the ecu has been played around with...super chip or something in it making it boost to 1.5 bar...when i bought the car from a private add in the auto trader the previous owner never mentioned that the car had this done to it and after some investigation work i found out the car had already had a new engine in it....4000 miles before i got it....the seller never told me ay of these things......
so....where do i go from here...anybody got any ideas?????

Ouch Confront the seller, then depending on the outcome of that, small claims court, dont where u would stand on making a claim though. Sounds like youve been done mate

 

if the hpi check didnt show up the new engine, perhaps you're due some compensation from them ?
