The internal boot release (i.e. next to the driver's seat) ist kaput. How do I go about fixing it (I have not checked if the fault is with the release lever or the cable)?

My money's on you catching that little lever just to the right of the boot lock (lump that's actually on the boot lid)...

Have a look for that.

was on mine - you can isolate the boot from the internal release by a switch on the boot lock (like a child lock) - that's most probably your problem

Wink

This was the first "mod" I did on my car after coming on here. It'd been "bust" for ages......................I did feel an idiot!
