Someone at Cadwell yesterday had some mesh/grills over their fogs, with STI in white on the grills.

It looked great, anyone know if it's a standard Subaru part, and if it's only for the new WRX?

cheers,

Greg

I don't know about the ones on the car that you saw, but the following may be of interest;

the parts are STi, but various copies are available.

they are available for both the MY01 and the old model.

The ones on the UK300 at Cadwell were the genuine STI ones from Graham Goode, confirmed with the owner. They certainly looked nice.

I ordered some yesterday after seeing them on that uk300.

they do 2 types: with black mesh

with blue mesh

I've gone for the blue mesh ones, they cost £249.99 with the vat and about another £10 for delivery. A bit on the steep side but they are gonna protect my £750 HID's

I am waiting for mine to go on the MY01 - going for the Black ones as the car is Silver, I am gonna look like a real fraudster as I already have the pink I badge and various other STI parts on the car!

I saw Scott's last night. They do look great on the UK300.

If only they did them in Steel Blue for my RB5...oh well.

If you have'nt fitted them yet
The brackets and covers are handed and labelled LH & RH. The screwholes in the covers go to the outside edge of the bumper and the screws you get in the pack go through these holes into the bracket

For the bracket you use the screw that holds your lamp on, un-do the screw and re-fit using the barcket. The brackets don't seem to sit flush with anything but they can only go on one way, then clip the cover in the top 2 slot and inside edge, then screw them in

Scott
hope i have'nt insulted your inteligence by the step by step instructions

Btw , thanks Tim

Does anyone do one of these mesh style for the old shape? The standard RB5 ones look cr*p and I don't use them as I use the spots all the time.

I think you will find that your lights stick out too far to have any sort of STI style cover on them. I tried on my RB5 but could'nt find anything to fit.
