You may have noticed that when you turn your ignition off, all the lights go out. Turning that wee button on allows sidelights to remain on - good for breakdowns on M'ways @ night & complying with various laws on lighting parked vehicles in different countries.

Thumbs up

Even better, good for driving round with your lights on all the time so other dopey pratts might see you, and you don't have to remember to switch them off each time you get out of the car.
