Hi all,

Took a trip to Powerstation on Saturday to have a magnex dp fitted.

The difference is pretty astonishing. It feels so much more responsive and has virtually eliminated turbo lag. No real increase in noise (got resonated centre and bb - magnex also), but when it's at full throttle it growls even more . It's the twin dump pipe and looks like a 3" bore. Fit was perfect, the only time consuming bit was a tricky bracket on the gearbox.

Very accomodating lot at powerstation - thanks dirk, rich & nick.

Time to start saving for the next mod now - bumpsteer & eibachs!!

No connection just EXTREMELEY impressed

Cheers

Iain

PS Met Mutant Matt as well, having a few goodies fitted, has it made a big difference m8. I'm sure you 'tested' it on the way home.

Would you mind me asking how much for the DP and fitting? I know the DP is about £180.

I have a Magnex DP, looks like a thick 3in bore...... would this be a twin dump jobbie then?

Any pics?

Cheers

Hello,

Bruce, It cost £120 to fit and took around 3 and a bit hours, in total with VAT it was around the £330 mark.

POC, Yeah it's the twin dump jobbie, what a difference it's made . Which one did you get, single out or twin?? No pics i'm afraid, haven't got a digital camera you see . If i do sort out pictures though i will post them here.

Cheers

I didn't realise PowerStation fitted Eibachs aswell as doning the geometry & bumpsteer. I was intending to get the Eibachs fitted at Tyres Northampton (local) then toddle off to PS to get the bumpsteer done.

Unless Tyres Northampton are a lot cheaper I may aswell get everything done at once as it's a days trip for me to PS any way.

I dont know if mine is a twin or single, how would I check?

I like the noise the DP makes, hearing the turbo spinning up ans whistling away is vvvvvv cool!

POC,

You can tell by looking at the pipe coming off the back of the turbo (i.e. the downpipe). Sometimes it is difficult to see, especially if all the heatshields have been put back on.

I didn't bother with all the heatshield, and as a result you can see one 3" pipe and next to it another 2" pipe. If you don't have the second pipe then you may well have the earlier single DP.

I know what you mean about the noises

Cheers

Iain
