Question

Good morning from the west wide of the pond. I was wondering if anybody had proposed adding vents to the hood of the current WRX like on the last gen? Are they not needed? Wouldn't they provide the added benefit of removing the hot air from the engine compartment? I was looking at the front "canyon" of a vent on the WRC car. It looks nice and would do an extremely good job of venting hot air, but would something like that even be practical for day to day driving? What would be the down side of such a big vent other the the obvious dirty engine and birds nests.

Sorry for all the questions.....I get like this when I haven't had my morning coffee.
