I think my car is great but I would say that they cost a bomb to run.............If you can justify the cost then go for it

WILLIE/ IM ASKING YOU BECAUSE YOU HAVE DRIVEN THEM AND OWN THEM.
I REALISE THEY ARE FAST CARS AND HAVE A DEVOTED FOLLOWING.
I LOVE THE LOOK OF THEM AND THE SOUND OF THEM BUT ARE UNSURE WEATHER THIS CAN JUSTIFY THE OWNERSHIP COSTS.

Worst thing you can do is drive one.

You'll end up wearing a stupid grin and you really won't give a flying **** what it costs to run it

They are so worth the financial pain

Point taken Crush.

I had to think long and hard when got mine. Decided if I didn't do it now I never would. Finances are a little strained but I thought "WTF you only live once". If it gets too draining financially I'll sell it.

Hello all.
I test drove the WRX today and I LOVED IT.
The car is fantastic and as soon as i have sorted the money out i will be straight to the garage to buy one. I used to sell peugeot, alfa romeo, fiat and nissan and there is nothing built by any of these makes that matches the scooby (Even the Skyline)
Hope this helps your decision

Overall Package are the key words here.
Drive one, as said before.
Be prepared for the odd £450 service, 20 mpg average, £1k insurance (dependant on age) and the overwhelming urge to vist Scoobysport and TSL to hammer your credit card.

Firstly tell us what you're used to. If it's the mild hatch brigade, you should love a scoob. If you come from Porkers or Caterhams, you might not.

Secondly, what will be your mileage? Business use, or only pleasure?

Are you going to modify it, or run it on track?

There are a number of people here who have sold their scoobs, for various reasons. Others justifiably love them. Tell us more, we'll try to help. Pricey if we don't!

agree with brendan,
if like myself, you had a 205 gti or similary performing front wheel drive cars then you will love the scoob. remember that the scoob is at its best on the twisty stuff - if all you are using it for is the motorway then perhaps something else will better fulfill your needs.
i doubt after scoob ownership you will ever drive a non- all wheel drive though. i know i won't, unless it is a weekend toy .
the security of awd is very reassuring, especially if you consider what is happening out of your window at the moment! rain, rain and more rain - scoobs are in there element in these conditions.

Had mine for just over a year now. MY99 Wagon.

Spent about £700 in servicing etc so far, which was around what I thought I'd have to pay. Insurance was £520 for the year fully comp (£400 excess tho ) oh and a new battery.

If you drive under 3K revs the fuel economy is not bad, but ask anyone on the BBS if they drive under 3K revs ... I don't think you'll get many 'yes' answers.

I used to drive a Vauxhall Carlton 2.0CDi. Well comfy, but like driving a bus. When I drove the Scoob out of the dealers I could not beleive how it stuck to the road and came off roundabout like it had a firework up it's a*se!

The standard Impreza may not be the fastest car on the road, but it's not slow ( scares my wife anyway )

When I bought mine I had no plans to modify it. Went to my 1st local 'meet', heard a Scoob with a modified BB (Maffa's I think) and last weekend I purchased a Prodrive BB. Just the start me thinks.

Get one you'll love it, but watch out for the bodywork ... it's like tin foil !

the ONLY reason i'm selling mine is cause me and my fella want a baby and we know we can't afford both at the minute. I'm soooooo glad I went to the expense of buying one. Well worth it!!!
