Just got a chance to drive an Audi S3. My findings compared to my WRX 01:

Performance - not bad, not quite as fast, good pickup from lower revs
Gearbox - notchy / slow
Handling...bumpy ride, heavier steering , more understeer prone...not fluid by any means
Brakes - not as good feel as WRX
Interior space and visibility - nowhere near as good
Noise - Much noisier than standard 01
Build Quality - Excellent
Driving Position - not as good, not as much room in the footwell, sit higher in the S3
Emgine Note: really boring...no character at all.

That's my opinion, but I think the Subaru beats it hands down, and there's no way I would be tempted to switch to one on the basis of that test drive .

Cheers,

Rich

Plus I believe Audi are giving Reliant a run for their money in the 3-wheeler stakes.

Didn't think the Scoob needed adjustable rear ride height
3 people + a good bootful of duty free hardly drops my ride height at all

Paul

BTW the S3 feels much smaller on the inside My my99 has not much leg room the S3 had none - only good for 'the kids' IMHO

editied so's i could point out that my grammar (or lack of it) really sucks!
