Question

I did a search for the single word octavia (don't ask why ) and apart from the fact that it timed out umpteen times, the following was returned:

Threads found, between 28/07/2001 and 27/09/2001, containing the word(s) octavia, in the title only

Think they're funny? (24/08/2001) , started by Geezer

Bulk insurance discounts (24/08/2001) , started by Adam M

Anyone fancy a Skoda? (24/08/2001) , started by chuckster

Had a play with an Audi TT last night... (31/07/2001) , started by astraboy

Skoda Ocvtavia Rs Thingy (09/08/2001) , started by Luke

Should I buy a Subaru? (09/09/2001) , started by vert

Seat Léon 1.8 20vT Cupra - worth a look? (13/09/2001) , started by JR

Pats latest project..... (27/09/2001) , started by R19KET

Now apart from the fact that none of the titles contain the word octavia (the one about octavias is mispelled!), if we take the top thread, dated 24/08/01 allegedly:

The search was a temporary measure which worked perfectly until the BBS software went up the wall and we had to rebuild all the thread files which screwed up all the dates.

It's a case of being better than nothing at present though.

The new software has a good search facility so the waiting will be over soon!
