Radar & Lazer Detectors??
#1
In the post today I received some advertising bumph from Roadnetautomotive, offering radar & lazer detectors at the following prices.
Roadnet EU 500 £199.95
Bel Euro 550 £399.95
Has anyone out there had experiance with these.
IE: Have you got one and still been caught?
Are they more trouble than they are worth?
Do they offer confusing signals?
I would love to have your comments.

Fiasco,
I'll cut down the story from the other tread.
Went passed 3 laser traps. My detector picked up the one and saved me. The other two, I believe the officer did not fire the gun. Why? Because it was the same place the 3 times and the time the Bel picked up the signal, the officer had the laser gun resting on his car door to get a steady shot. The other two times the officer was holding it with his hand so I think they just wanted to show they had a laser gun to scare people.
5 miles later the bel picked up a radar gun using Ku band. The detector was going off two miles before I got to it. This was around bends too. It saved me there.
Around 10 days ago detector picked up a mini gatso on Ku band. I was not speeding. It only gave me 50 metres warning. Only an immediate reaction, hopefully would have saved me. I'd love to see the gatso in another location to see if it will warn me earlier. This time it was placed behind a building so the building would have blocked the signal. I had also seen it behind trees other times before I got the detector. I think it would give more warning there. Time will tell.
I still think they are great as I have had two definate saviours. I know they give more warning with fixed speed cameras as I've read on here. I believe I need a laser jammer also to be protected fully, coz if you are the first car when a laser gun is fired at you and you're speeding, you will be caught. If you are the second car or more further back, it should save you like it saved me.
Cheers,
Wrexy.
