I have been sent some fantastic quality pictures of the new Euro Spec STi, both the standard and Prodrive versions, with a variety of interior and exterior shots.

I don't have a web-site to upload them anywhere, but for those of you on the IWOC mailing list, they are now in the shared files area.

All of them are medium resolution of about 1500 x 1200 pixels, and there are also high resolution ones of about 3000 x 2000 pixels in size (1Mb .jpg files).

Things to note -

the standard version uses a black Stars badge on the front grille, but has a small STi badge as well.

The front headlamp covers have the STi logo in pink.

The bonnet scoop seems to have a splitter built in.

Prices have been announced (at least in Germany).
The "standard" car is 35k Euros and the Prodrive tarted-up car is 40k Euros.
So, going on what you lot pay for a WRX (compared to what we pay) you can probably convert the above to Pounds and add another 4k. The WRX (in germany) is £17500 and the STi is £22500 (at current exchange rates).

Cool

Very nice photos. I prefer the front end of the non Prodrive STI. I noticed no pink badging and no STI strut brace, oh and no ice. ALL in all looks rather nice.

Agree that non-Prodrive car looks better but they could both do with 18" (non-gold) wheels.

I am still feeling a bit sick after events in NYC and I'm sorry but the Swiss price of this car isn't going to help many of you either.

WRX STi = SFr 49,200 [SFr 53,700 Prodrive]

ie. £20,500 OTR [£22,375 Prodrive]
- in LHD form only at this price, I guess.

All figures VAT inclusive at 7.6%.

He he, you have to laugh when you pass a new Impreza on the road, they really just cant be made to look good, very Korean/Hyundai looking, not Rally or sporty at all.

This whole desperately sticking on of bits helps, but doesnt make it into a nice looking car, surely no one feels this car is a great looking car, in the big world of great looking cars.

Shame really , bet it goes well enough.

I think they both look OK, but then the later EVO5/6 aren't exactly works of art!

Looks good to me too. Agree 18 inchers would finish it off nicely though. Any news / piccies of the 5 door emerged yet?

It's an incoherent mess! The additions look like they've been designed away from the car then stuck on.

The car looks like the b@stard son of a Proton and Mr Potatohead!

And gold wheels - whatever next!
