Since I can't read my manual...

Does the 'auto' setting ever actually turn the fan any slower than the 2nd speed setting? Doesn't seem to on mine.

If you set it for, say, 24 degrees and put it on auto does it blend the cold conditioned air with the ambient air to achieve this temp, or does it do cold, then switch off when it gets to 24?

Basically would like to know how the auto thing works.
