No Cars Stolen today.... WOW!
#1
Thankfully my car wasn't stolen, but while it was parked in a "secure" hotel car park with CCTV, some t0sser managed to get in the boot and take my laptop last night. I'm sure he'll get at least £20 for it!!!
Looking on the bright side, at least I get a new replacement!

Hope you remembered to do regular backups! (people here at work never do them then look at me as if it's my fault when their laptop HD dies and they've lost all their data! ).
EDIT for correct use of "their"

It's nice to see that there are no posts today saying that somebody has had their Scooby robbed etc, etc. Is it me or has this week been a bad week for posts about how people have had their houses broken into and car keys stolen (Plus the guy in Brum who was shot in the leg and his Impreza robbed at 2.50am outside a chippy - What he was doing there at that time god knows!)

My insurance is up for renewal now, and even with the addition of a tracking device since last year, and another year's succcessful avoidance of thieves and crashes, it's going to go up £138 for no extra cover.
I'm incredibly annoyed by this, and to be honest am getting fed up with being ripped off by life in Britain. I don't think I'll be owning the Impreza by next summer at this rate, and if the country continues to go down the pan may throw in the towel with living here (again) and move abroad (again).
Simon.

Well, no thefts perhaps (thankfully) but:
just had a text from my girlfriend, last night her neighbour's car tyres were slashed, both her two cars (MR2 turbo, MGB Roadster) were unharmed.. Makes me glad my scoob was away that night??

Just thank god you dont live in South Africa, I was having a surf earlier and found the days crime stats for Cape Town, so far only 20 car jackings, 7 murders, 33 rapes and over a dozen attempted murders. 12 Armed Bank Robberies, 19 assault with a deadly weapon, and countless petty assaults, attacks, muggings and general nastiness.

Yes there was another scoob stolen. It was in our local evening mail on the 6th. Stole keys from house stc.
In tonights a guy was woken up to a gun at his head yesterday for his X reg Audi TT.
Both of these in Brum area.

hmm, back on the Chippy shooting theme, I drove to a chippy at 2 am last night, was feeling hungry and couldn't sleep!
I guess if I'd been shot and had the car stolen whilst there, I'd have been dealing drugs or weapons or something
The guy could well have just been hungry late at night!
