England Footy .....

Well I can't believe the result, I've been working on my car on and off all day and I turned the telly on at 1-0. Urgh I thought...
I went back out and started to finish off the car and lost track of time, went for a Indian Takeaway and whilst in the shop I saw the TV. England 5 Germany 1.....
I don't belive it !!!!! What a **** I am missing a game like that.
So someone fill me in on what the game was like .....
Cheers

I watched the last ten minutes and it's the most football I've ever watched!
Wasn't too bad, but the missus had to tell me who everyone was - I recognised beckham tho'.

Good result, BUT one swallow does'nt make a summer. They HAVE to win against Albania, who judging by todays german side will be much tougher opposition. The Scoobynet XI could defend better than the Germans did!
The England defense was poor too, but luckily it did'nt have to be tested that much.
We don't look much of a side without Owen, Gerrad and Beckham. England has the strength, but not as yet the depth to really compete in the big tournamnents.
I'll reserve judgement til next Thursday

Wooooo Hoooooo !!!!!
I've just got tickets for the England v Albania game on Wednesday..
Great seats as well, right on the halfway line at the front..
This will make up for missing tonights match.

Hey neil,
What about Scholes? Playing further back than usual, but brilliantly set up one of the later goals. A much underated intelligent player. Good result overall and how we laughed

Im proper chuffed. Best England game I have seen since we gave the dutch a pasting in 1996.
I do think however the best thing to come from the match today was a confidence booster for Sven Goran and the younger players.
Owen and the Liverpool players did us proud (I'm a Man U fan), and Dave Seaman needs a pat on the back for that early on superb save.
Well done England

Just told my Girlfriend this morning who's been away to Chicago for the last week that I've got us some tickets for the England Game on wednesday night.
She replied "I'm not bothered as I've got a lot of work to prepare for a business trip to Italy on thursday.."
If it's not bad enough that she don't want to come to the footy with me she's also off again travelling with work. Looks like my Beer & Takeaway diet will come back in to use
Called my mate and asked if he want sto go and he jumped at the chance, he said you might get hassled for autographs there.
"Why??" I replied
He replied "Because all the lads think you look the spitting double of Mark Wright the ex England & Liverpool Defender"
I'm in now for some serious p155taking and I'm being hospitable by taking him.

The hangover caused by celebrating too much last night has just about gone and I still can't believe the scoreline. I hope we don't win the World Cup next year - don't think my liver or wallet could handle it ......

Spent the day in London getting very very drunk, wernt allowed in many pubs due to us wearing "football colours",
but ended up in a pub in Soho called "The Imperial". Brilliant place with a damm sexy barmaid called DAWN...UMMM
Watched the game, very drunk by now went totaly mad in the pub,had a wicked time then spent the next THREE hours in the fountain at Nelsons coloum with only my boxers on,lost my travel card but managed to blag my way home to Bracknell.
I was on the 9/oclock news though.....totally soaked with police tape around my head...Great day for football
Loved every minute even though i spent best part of £160 on the day...oouuuccchhh

I watched it in the Irish pub in Stuttgart, I think I can safely say that I was the only person in Stuttgart wearing a red England shirt, I got some looks when we got of the train but no hassle, some Germans came up and congratulated me after the game it was really good.

I went, it was very very good, electric feeling all round, great result, but school boy errors from both sides, but I'm not knocking it, we won which is all that counts.
Just hope the next 2 games finish with the same result, if not we are in a world of crap & may not qualify which will be bad

I wonder if many England supporters would have done the same, had the result been reversed
We ought to stop treating England V germany as a re-run of WW2 or England V Argentina as Falklands 2. I enjoy celebrating as much as the next man, but not all the jingoism that comes with it.
