I have owned four Subaru's to date ranging from a MY97 to a MY02 and have noticed that when polishing them ( usually with Auto-glym super resin or gold) that the dust seems to stick to the car like its statically charged.
Has anyone else noticed this, come up with a solution to stop it ?
I was going to get some anti-static strips with arrow reflectors from halfords but thought my TSL backbox might eat them
Regards Jay

All cars do this, not just Scoobs. Autoglym sell an anti static duster which works quite well, but ultimately you still get dust all over the place with that sort of polish.
I use waxwizard stuff now. It's superb . No dust/residue...

Thanx Nick,
have had it on other cars but not half as bad as scooby's.
Is wax wizard really that good ?
Is it easy to apply like auto glym ?
How much is it ?
Where can I buy some ?
Sorry for all the Q's

Is it that good? I'd say so, yes. I use Cleanse number 2 to strip the crap off the car, then the old Zymol Subaru wax. I bought this 3 years ago, use it once a month or so and half the pot is still left . Being a wax, it goes on and sticks then is buffed up - there's no residue to deal with.
Get it from Wax Wizard (AKA swizzol, aka Mark Underwood) - drop him a mail u_mark@hotmail.com I think.
I think I paid around 70 quid for the kit which included cleanse, auto wash, towels, and wax. You can buy bits to get you started.
It is easy to apply, particularly the wax. The cleanse only needs doing every 6 months or so - I've only done mine three times in three years tho, as the paintwork didn't feel like it needed cleansing.
Tip top stuff. And Mark knows his onions when it comes to cleaning cars

btw it's that good I just threw away half a bottle of autoglym cos it's never been used since I discovered Wax Wizard 3 years ago.
Done my scoob, the Westfield and the missus cars and never had static dust clinging to any of the cars.
