Ok, Ive got a uk Turbo and want to change the daft exhaust, theres a bloke on the For Sale section selling a P1 exhaust with STI stamped in it, anyone know it?

I'm very tempted but was just wondering if anyone could comment on this particular exhaust. Is it considerably louder than the standard. Thing is I want a nice sound, louder than standard but maybe not as loud as Scooby Sport one.

I could really do with listening to the sound of one but only Fords if Winsford in Cheshire have one in stock and its inside so I dont hink Id get a way with asking them to tick it over for me!

Any comments? Sale price is £60 although will need delivering.

Other considerations are just buying a Scorpion ( Brand New )I hear that Prodrive zorts are actually Scorpion??????? Dont shoot the messenger

Cheers buds

I've still got the standard STI 5 (STI stamped tapered bb) on my P1. I think it's too quiet. Not as loud as the upgrade P1 WR box.

I'm going to be putting a SS box on in the next few weeks, so my old STI box will be for sale soon (probably take £60).

P1 wr exhaust is stamped P1
Std P1 exhaust is stamped STI and is quieter than a mouse
If you want noise go for P1 wr but they cost £350 new for BB.

Best off looking elsewhere for cheap noise

If more noise is the is the issue the go for a Scoobysport/Magnex/Mongoose, etc. The P1 and STI boxes are quite quite. I had a Mongoose which sounded luvly, i did a lotta miles, say 30K PA and did not find the noise/booming intrusive, in fact the only tiome i could really appreciate it was with the rear windows down. Yoy may get a slight increase in performance but hardly notices.

My neighbours have small children and it did not wake them or pi$$ them off as long as i drove carefullly onto the drive which i did already.

In combination with an induction kit and the centre cat changed to a straight through pipe it was great for driving through London, the tw@t pedestians who usually try to jump out in front of you or mountain bike suicide despatch riders gave it a wide berth or got out of the way - which was nice!

ALL IMHO of course!
