Hi Carl

I didn't mean that the driver was the weakest link mate!!!

As babber said, just that AWD requires a different technique.

Cheers

At Bedford on Friday, despite my best efforts (sideways off the throttle halfway round a bend) I couldn't get the back to let go (standard MY00). Will the PS bumpsteer mode improve this and make it a bit more tail-happy? I'm starting to think RWD is a better bet for trackdays...

Hi Carl

The bump-steer mod won't actually make it more tail happy, but..

it will improve turn-in and front end bite.

The thing that would be most beneficial though would be to work on your technique though.

AWD cars are very very very different in terms of technique to RWD cars. You need to do a lot more work on the brakes and before the corner.

all the best

Cool

Carl,

I got my first Scooby in January this year, and to be really honest with you was disappointed with the handling. I've got a mark two RS2000 as a play thing. I thought the RS had better handling.

As Simon has said you need to drive the car differently than you would a rear wheel drive car.

Simon,

Thanks for that. I'd already realized the weakest link was the driver so I'll be looking to improve that too

YES.

I had it done and it does banish much of the front end understeer. I had a RWD car for years and found the Scooby diddnt turn in quickly in comparison. Bump Steer sorts it out but keeps the saftey, in fact it feels safer becuase I found the understeer scary and the only way to get out of it is to lift of a but, but lift of too much and you can get snap oversteer.

Basically, DO IT, (it can always be undone if you dont like it!)

OK, DJ, I'll get it done. I respect your opinion as the only other person at Bedford with their name in the rear windows
