Tiff driving V12 Vanquish Top Gear 8:30 Tonight

Didn't it look nice eh ?
I wondered if Tiff could resist getting the rears smoking, and he didn't let us down !
As for the Merc/BMW/Alfa feature.. I thought the Merc Coupe looked pretty good for £20K and definitely looked £3K better than that Alfa (with it's Peugeot 206 rear end)

Hmm,
Loved the Vanquish, but that merc, pah, looks just like the Citroen Xsara Coupe I used to own, even down to the colour! Yep not so keen on the alfa either, and the civic is a good car, but not a great one, which is a shame because for £15,995 it's damn cheap!

Was NOT impressed by the civic type R. looked wallowy and understeery all the way around the track [/quote]
Definitely, but as they're making a big sing-song about the Vanquish being all aluminium (or something) they're keeping the theme with the silver.
Yeah, I prefer the old Civic Type R (which didn't get a mention) right Matt ?

It does look bad, but it's a lot of horses for your pound.
Still, looking on the bright side, thats more people out there to give a bit of a challenge.

Ssssh, I'll say this quietly but I actually enjoyed the Gary Barlow 'sketch'
The quoted 0-60 figure for the Civic typeR (was it 6.8?) seemed a bit conservative, I thought it would be quicker than that...

yep - i was a bit suprised, its 200cc's over the integra but is slower both in 0-60 and top end.
As an integra owner, i'm actually quite happy that its not stunningly better...

Jon - the Civic's not slower than the Intergra. As a former Integra owner the 0-60 is the same 6.8/6.7 depending where you read it and the top speed is 1mph more for the Civic at 146........
I fancy a test drive to check it out, pity it looks like ****.

Watched the Vanquish receiving a thrashing and was relieved I had the fore thought to get the kleenex ready before hand.
Tuff decision tho, Ferrari or Aston. Ferrari howl or Aston roar. I'd have both.
