OK, so I know I'm about to get giggled at - BUT:
I want to put some TRULY tiny mods on my car (MY02 WRX) -
1.) white side repeaters
2.) front 'STI' mesh fog covers
3.) momo air race leather gearknob
4.) ITG panel filter
All these items are easily ordered from the glut of cool scooby websites here in the UK (eg, TSL, scoobysport, scoobymania etc).
But how many of you have actually installed these bits of kit yourself (and is it as easy as 'they' say) - or should I just leave it to the experts (eg. local dealer or one of the above companies).
cheers

About 8 or 9 months ago there were actually a few threads on interior which were in effect Gear **** FAQ's (it's what the internet was made for!). It's a 10 minute job - and most of that is to keep the gaitor up snug with the ****.
I've got non-STI Mesh Covers from TSL - it's a pain to make them secure - the real STI ones come with a bracket and a screw though.
Mail me if you want real info....
Cheers
Chris

I've got a real "minor mod" for you, but looks way cool.
Look at the centre caps of your wheels. Do they haver "Subaru" pressed into them? If so, prise 'em off carefully with a screwdriver and a piece of cloth/card to protect your wheels.
Fill in the letters with the closest colour you can find , pref in "Humbrol" model enamel, but car touchup will do. Don't worry about getting it perfect, or not getting paint outside the letters, just make sure the letters are filled in, no gaps, they don't have to be FULL! Leave for about 3-4 hours in a warm place to dry.
Now for the clever bit- polish them up with "T_Cut" or "Mer" type polish with a mild cutting agent, working ACROSS the letters, this removes all the paint that wasn't in the "Subaru" writing, but leaves that which was.
Refit the centre caps.
Cost: pennies. Effect? try it and see!!!

Cheers for all the advice guys - I am now suitably armed with confidence and will be doing the fiddling myself (oh, and I guess I will mod the car myself too ....)

Good luck with the mods Dave
Jen
(btw, I'm not really that strange - I just got them through the post that morning and didn't have time to put them on before work - after work I couldn't bear the orange sight any longer! )
