Hi Guys,

I want to get the windows tinted on my MY99 Dark Green scoob.

Just a couple of questions tho...does anyone know what sort of price it is to get the side and rear windows done? and also if anyone is from around the north west area, do you know a top quality place to go??

Before you do, a word of advice - make sure it's legal.

Last weekend down Southend seafront they were pulling everything with even a hint (sorry) of aftermarket windowtinting. And they seem to be getting more pedantic about it all the time. Especially the front side windows. Rear sides and rear screen you can do pretty much what you want still.

Most of what you can buy will be illegal on a Scoob. They claim it is legal, but this is usually only true if you use it on untinted glass, unlike the Imprezas. Just worth bearing in mind...

Any good tinter will tell you what the legal level of tint is for the front side windows. They should be able to show you the DETR guidelines for this. Even a 20% tint is quite dark. I have the legal maximum for the fronts on my car and then I think it's 45% for the rest of them.

Go for it, they look so much better done.
