If people view this thread once only......

will it give a true reflection of the regular users of scoobynet??
Although there are 16,000+ members, there maybe aren't actually that many regulars - people who don't read anymore, multiple logins, lost passwords ete etc
Is a viewing of a thread only recorded if you are logged into Scoobynet with cookies set or does it register a view for every time someone looks at that page, even if they aren't a member??
cheers

Everytime this particular page (or thread) is requested from the SN server, then up goes the "view" count.
You might notice that the "view" count has risen from ~200 - ~530 in the space of the last 5 mins (before this post) but maybe not!
300 at least of those "views" were me on the refresh button
OK - very silly way of demonstrating it & not brilliant for SN's bandwidth but that is what a "view" count performs - the number of "views" requested from the server.
