Unhappy

When the aircon compressor pump kicks in there's quite a jolt, and at higher revs there is a sound almost like a turbo dump valve (short 'fsst' noise).

Due to my limited experience with Scoobies (ie I've only been in mine that I bought a few months ago!) I'm not sure whether this is a 'feature' or a fault.

I'm 99.9% sure it is the aircon pump, as it only occurs when the ac is on, but I'm prepared to be told otherwise!

Does this sound familiar to anyone?!

cheers in advance,
Ian

My MY00 does the same, I think it's a matter of "they all do that more or less...sir".

Ian

The the jolt and snap noise is the a/c compressor coming in. The 'fsst' noise is the gas starting to go round the system. I hve noticed that the new WRX seems a little quiter than the >00MYs, tho the >00MYs where never realy obtrusive noise wise.

Get your dealer to listern, or compare it to a couple of others at a meet.
