...not wearing their helmets/driving that is, and who you genuinely recognised.

Here goes (and not that many in hindsight) - Jensen Button (cool), David Coulthard and his girlfriend's legs (remarkable), Niki Lauda, Sterling Moss (mature), Carl Fogarty (scary), Tony Mason (round), Mark Higgins (laddish!), Andy Rouse.

Go on, make my day...who were the other hundred I missed

Stirling Moss, Bobbie Rahal, Paul Stoddard (owns Minardi), Timo Makininen, Luca Badoer plus lots of the drivers getting out of their cars.

Fabulous day. Took over 100 pictures. Here are just a few of my highlights.

Being 10 feet away from Montoya on full chat in a Williams-BMW FW22, Luca Badoer in a Ferrari F1-2000, Alex Wurz in a McLaren-Mercedes MP4/15, Eddie Irvine in the Jaguar-Ford R2, Andrea Piccini in the 2 seater Minardi, Darren Manning in the BAR-Honda.
Seeing Stirling Moss just before he drove the Mercedes Mille Miglia winning car up the hill.
Seeing my favourite Sports car of all, the McLaren M8F 9.2 litre Can Am car
Seeing my favourite F1 car of all, the Brabham Fan car
Watching Phil Hill drive the Shark Nose Ferrari.
Watching Damon Hill on 2 and 4 wheels.
Seeing Carl Fogarty on a Dukati 996 giving it large.
Timo Makinen going up the hill in his Mini Cooper S
Erik Carlson in the Saab96
Jean Ragnotti in the Renault Le Mans car
Nino Vaccarella in the Alfa Romeo T33/2
Darrell Waltrip in a Chevy Monte Carlo NASCAR
The Ferrari 712 – 7litre Can-Am car, the most powerful Ferrari ever built going up the hill.
Gerry Marshall in “Big Bertha”
Andy Rouse in a RS500
Derek Bell in a Ferrari 312/68
Rene Arnoux in the Renault RS01 turbo F1 car

David Richards (Mr Prodrive) in Ari Vatanens and his Ford Escort MKII
Walter Rohrl in the Audi Quatro A2
Jean Ragnoti in the Renault 5 turbo
Mark Higgins in the Focus WRC (totally bonkers)
Bobby Unser in the Penske-Cosworth Indycar
Richard Eyre driving Senna’s Toleman-Hart

Silk Cut Jaguar Le Mans cars driven by Jan Lammers
Jochen Mass in a Sauber-Mercedes C11
McLaren Le Mans cars Galore

Stephan Johansson in an Audi R8
Andy Wallace in this years Le Mans Bentley EXP speed 8
Anthony Reid in the MG-Lola EX257, this years Le Mans car (he stuffed it right in front of me)

There were literally $100’s of millions worth of racing cars going up the hillclimb driven by Hero’s of the day. What was really fantastic was you could go and get right up to the cars in the paddock, and I mean close!

I will have all my photos up soon, some amazing cars there, everything from the Renault 1901 race car driven by Jenson Button to the 21.7 litre Fiat 1924 land speed record car.

Awesome stuff.

more scoobies than I've ever seen before in my life....walking the entire length of the car park on saturday night, just before the rain. We must have ALL been there. No prescence on the inside though of course, except for a tiny merchandising stand. When will Prodrive try the hill??!! (They did have a soapbox I noticed!!)
Nearly got run over by Foggie (literally...I had to JUMP out of the way), without helmet. Scary sight..but he did have his better half on the pillion...riding a litle fizzy scooter thing up to the F1 paddock...through the very tight, very crowded bit!!
