I told my local Subaru dealer that i would supply Mobil 1 motorsport oil for my WRX MY01 20,000 mile service. They have refused to service the car unless they can supply there own oil Shell semi synthetic. They have told me they make profit from the oil they supply and this is reflected on the service charge of £210. Any advice please, i may write to Subaru to see what they say, my next nearest dealer is 60mls away. I thought i was the customer, i've supplied garages before with my choice of oil with no problem. PS Do i need to use a Subaru dealer to service my car to keep my warrentee valid, i have been told as long as they use Subaru parts it is ok?

Cheers

Question

Some questions...
Is your car a uk car or euro import?
My MY00 euro car always has oil provided by me (mobil1 motorsport) and they have no problems putting it in

HI Tony

Just read your post...help!!

Just picked up my MY02 from main dealer today after 1000 mile service. (they charged me £65 labour because the car is from Holland via Well Lane Turbo).

They put in Castrol GTX Magnatec..is this any good or do they just put in what they have in stock??

Thanks

Midlife
