load of rubbish TVP dont own those cars and they would never use the helicopter at £200 per hour for speed enforcement, However they do have a campaign running in the villages of North Oxfordshire, 47 was the highest speed in a 30 this week, if your over the limit but not much you can watch a video instead of getting a Fixed Penalty

It's not rubbish - Derbyshire police are openly using a helicopter for speed enforcement on the A515 Ashborne Road below Buxton - amazing for a force that keeps pleading it underfunded and can't hit their targets for burglaries etc!

If the helicopter costs £200/hour then that is only 4 cars/hour they have to catch to make the money back! Bet they can catch 60-120 easily so a good return as that would earn £3600-£7200!

I know for a fact that the Wiltshire Police were using a Helicopter for Speed Enforcement last summer on the A4 due to several people on Bikes being knicked by it!!!!
Apparently it is shared with the Air Ambulance Service who had the 'Copter paid for by fund raising events, charities - stuff like that. A M8 of mine went to a Bike meet in Avebury and spoke to an irate Biker who had helped raise the money (for a new Air Ambulance) to then get knicked by the 'Copter whilst on Police duty!!!! Can you believe it???
