Feel like an idiot but had to buy GT2 yesterday as I love GT so much. The thing is, Idon't own a playstation. It is probably a bit late to buy one but I thought the price had caome down so much that it was not that much to lose before the new one comes out.

So what I want to know is where is the cheapest place to uby them from, and how much should they cost?

Thankyou all

Adam:
Where do you live?

I'd try the usual suspects: Dixons, Currys, Comet, Game, EB etc.

Also, if there is one near you try Toys R Us.

Finally, try the little game shops, they sometimes have some cool deals.

hope this helps.

Adam,

If you only want it for GT2, try Loot, or the local paper to get one second hand. Get a dual analogue controller, and you're all set.

Not worth buying a brand new Playstation this late in the product cycle IMHO, unless you can get an amazing deal from somebody.

Cheers,

Alex

If you know a member of Costco Warehouse in Watford they sell Playstations, normally
£10 -15 less than the high street.

Thanks guys,

dz, I am a member of costco so I'll give it a go.

Alex, I agree, that is why when blockbuster were selling it for £80 I thought, no way.

There must be somewhere out there that has it for around £50.

£80 with game is worth it till playstation 2 comes out.

nice bit of selling Dario

btw, why doesnt it save lap times in GT mode in GT2?? bloody irritating!!

You cang et a station for about 60 quid + controller now from most places...

I wouldnt get a second hand one, as my bro, and 3 friends are now on their second stations as the first broke (well wore out)

Hi,

The playstation is pretty reliable provided you don't make it overheat by sitting it on the carpet in front of your telly. Even if the previous owner had done this, provided it still works you should be ok until you get bored of GT2, or the PS2 arrives!. The plastic laser diode and lens is damaged by excessive heat build-up apparently.

Cheers,

Alex

Got my Playstation 1st day of UK Release
( It cost 300Squid )

It works fine now, original Laser etc etc. Rattles loads and is now a dirty grey colour.

Some FMV is jerky so i turn the thing upside-down and it works fine then.

Best of all, it takes 10 seconds to get around the Piracy routines.

I will try a gain tomorrow and let you all went in well only the passenger side I had trouble fitting it around the strut.
I do have a alu bonnet but this would not be a problem.
