Just been to test drive an IS 200 in Guildford - which, by the way is wall to wall with Scoobies!

Apparently he was looking at chopping in someone's standard Scoob on Saturday for a Lexus, and only this morning someone was had given him a ride in an STi whilst test driving a Lexus. Sti driver claimed 310bhp, it must be one of you lot! Just in case you didn't guess the drive has changed his perspective on cars as mortal transport tools

So the old Lexus is obviously pretty popular with Scoob drivers - but why?

 

I suppose it may just be the fun to be had in arranging bogus test drives so you can let the salesmen talk you into scaring them senseless? The words "Slaughter" and "Lambs" spring to mind!

 

They do look cool ,the're RWD (proper mans car) and they aren't a BMW, shame they only have 150bhp. Although you could go the grey route and buy an Altezza (sp) with 210bhp

 

I took one for a test drive when I was looking for a replacement for my current BMer (company car). It really sucked! IMHO it's an old people's car - too soft and subtle to my liking, a complete opposite of the Impreza...

 

190 bhp IS200 on sale in November.

Actually it's the IS300 that's coming in soon, with the 3.0 engine from the GS300...

I liked the car, although at 150bhp it's not that quick. Incredibly well built though, and I'd have one over a B*W any day...
